6. Information collected when you use the Plagius software

6.1 Document processing

The main analysis is performed locally on the computer where Plagius is installed. The full document is not sent in its entirety to our servers.

For certain functionalities, the software may send only disconnected fragments of the analyzed text.

These identifiers may include:

  • processor identifier;

Plagius uses internet search engines for part of its analyses. Fragments of the analyzed text, usually between 7 and 13 words, may be sent to those services.

We do not control the privacy policies of those third parties, and we recommend that sensitive or confidential data not be used in external searches.

6.6 AI detection feature

The AI detection feature may send isolated paragraphs from analyzed documents to our servers for processing.

These excerpts are deleted within up to 48 hours after the analysis is completed.
